Job Description:
Position Summary
The Tandoori Chef is responsible for preparing authentic Indian tandoori dishes using traditional clay oven (tandoor) methods. This role requires specialized skills in marination, grilling, and roasting, along with knowledge of Indian spices, flavors, and cooking techniques. The Tandoori Chef ensures that all dishes meet Bistro 495’s standards for quality, taste, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, marinate, and cook meats, seafood, vegetables, naan, and kebabs in the tandoor oven.
Create and maintain authentic flavor profiles for tandoori dishes, curries, and accompaniments.
Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency and control food costs.
Maintain proper hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards in all food preparation and storage.
Monitor tandoor temperatures and cooking times for optimal results.
Assist in menu planning and development of Indian cuisine offerings.
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in tandoori techniques
